California's Long Drought Has Killed 100 Million Trees
Over the past 6 years, over 100 million trees have died due to the drought. Not only is it bad for the environment, but it has created a hazard for the forests everywhere. All of the dead trees create a potentiol fire. Wildfires have been igniting in the forests and all of the trees just build it up and give it gasoline to enlarge itself and grow. Scientist have preidcted that tree mortality will not decrease in 2017, but only increase. Who knows what will happen then? Will all of the earth's forest be burnt down? Personally I am terrified of the endless possibilities. The drought has caused mulitple serious problems for this world. The tree mortality rate is only a small problem. To help the amount of dead trees in the forest, groups could create clean up days where people go out and clear out the dead trees. If enough of these trees get cleaned up, then maybe we can decrease the amount of hazardous effects on the forests.
